At Inkwell, we consider privacy and online safety for you and your children all-important. Services without Registration

Services with Registration

Inkwell collects personal information (PI), such as name, e-mail address, phone number, etc., about you and your students through its registration forms. In addition to the use of cookies as described above, when you voluntarily provide us information your registration automatically subscribes you to our mailing list. When you register for our services or participate in our website features, such as newsletters, surveys, etc., the PI you provide may be used in the following ways, unless stated otherwise:

  • We may store and process that information to improve our understanding of your student’s learning needs, provide services tailored to those needs, process payments, and improve our products and services.

  • We may communicate with you via e-mail, postal mail, or by phone as you may request or as we deem necessary or advantageous.
     

We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those set out in this Privacy Policy.

 

We store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

Any students under the age of 18 requesting services of Inkwell, must be registered by or with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Inkwell does not sell or market directly to minors and always seeks the appropriate authorization whenever we identify a minor attempting to purchase a service. Whenever we collect students’ PI, we do so with the sole purpose of supporting the educational purposes for which our website and services were designed. 

 

Notwithstanding anything in this Privacy Policy to the contrary, Inkwell may disclose PI (1) as required by law or to defend against legal claims; (2) to protect the rights and property of Inkwell English Education; (3) to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding intellectual property, illegal activities, fraud, or the safety of any person; (4) to resolve disputes or to investigate problems; (5) to maintain service and improve our website, products, or services; (6) to help diagnose problems with our server, to manage our website, or to enhance our website based on the usage pattern data we receive.

 

Recording of Sessions

All sessions are recorded for teacher and student reference and may be used for training and supervisory purposes.

We may include links to websites outside of our website. These links are provided to offer you as user further relevant information, which you may wish to explore. We are not responsible for the content of external websites. The inclusion of a link to a third party website from our website should not be understood as an endorsement or authorization of any content, concepts, offers, advertising or any other information. Many of these other websites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, or solicit personal information, and we do not guaranty the security of any information that you may disclose.

 

Third-Parties

You should consult the respective privacy policies of third-party providers for more detailed information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt out of certain practices. Inkwell’s Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, other entities or websites. Among the third-party contractors that Inkwell uses that may have access to your information are sites such as Wix, GoogleMailChimp, Oases, Stripe, Youtube, and Zoom. This should not be construed as a complete list.

We may, at any time, amend the provisions in this Privacy Policy. Changes to this policy will be reflected by the "Updated Date" as displayed in the bottom of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this website following the posting of changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

 

Removal from Future Communication

If at any time you do not wish to have your PI collected, you may opt out of such services or subscriptions using the address below. Upon your request, we will remove you from future communications. We will use all reasonable efforts to delete your information from our files as promptly as possible. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
